The Age of Aquarius
So i don't live in the bible belt any more. That message is confirmed over and over again. Take today at work for instance. My boss was discussing "zodiac signs" with a customer and out of curiosity, I asked what it meant to be an aquarius. (January 27th to be exact for all of you counting down the days until I can rent a car. Finally. Gosh!) She said that aquarius females are typically docile, kind hearted, and generous. That hit me like a ton of bricks. Paul has written time and time again that I should be kind hearted and give to the poor, but now my "sign" wants me to live that way as well!?! What is a girl to do? Of late I've had the very strong conviction that I should be doing more for the homeless and needy in Denver (probably more because of Paul then my birthday), and I'm bouncing some ideas around in my head. Ill keep you posted. Anyways, I find it very amusing how something as generic and unorigional as a "sign" characteristic could affect my thought pattern and behavior. How susceptible to suggestion and expectation we humans are! One only needs to look at politics and hollywood, for the two barely differ, to see how a person might be encouraged into behavior one way or the other because of a suggestion. I suppose on a grander scale it cant be that bad of a reality as long as people's zodiac signs keep encouraging them into good deeds. I fear the first defense trial to get publicity because some criminal claims he stole because saggitarius are know for being greedy and he couldn't help it.
