Karl Rove for President
Am I right people? I mean really.....this is the man who was able to convince just slightly over half of the American people that George W. was a reasonable choice for the Presidency. Despite major setbacks like Bush's poor political views, desicions that would baffle even the most conservative of followers, and the fact that he cant pronounce the word nuclear (It's not nucular Mr. President), Karl Rove was still able to pull out a win. We should send this guy overseas and put him to real work. Kim Jong Il would disarm his entire nulear program after just minutes with Rove. We need to redirect this whole political campaign philosophy and start outsourcing these great talents. If a guy can make someone who graduated Yale with a 'c' average in "how many shots do we have to take before I can show you the backseat of my mercedes, baby" seem presidential, then I would put my money on him against the world's fiercest political leaders any day.

3,559,939 more americans voted for Bush than did for Kerry. It just happens to be the most decisive popular victory in our country's history. I think "just slightly over half" doesn't exactly put enough emphasis on what really matters...Bush won this time fair and square.
I know it was an accurate count and that he won. I wont deny that. I just think that Mr. Bush (and Mr. Kerry) are mearly puppets in this crazy game we call campaining. Although he won by raking in a bunch a votes, it is also equally important to recognize that more people than ever in history showed up to vote against him. The hatred some breed against this guy runs deep. I'm surprised when even Okies start turning against him cause he certainly seems the perfect image of a southern love child. There is talk (in humor I hope) of an ensuing civil war and I think he is just as responsible as the issues of abortion and gay marriage. Notice how his campaign slogan "I'm a uniter not a divider" from 2000 was completely abandoned this time around! I for one, am looking forward to four more years of Bushisms, Letterman bits, and my blood pressure rising every time Bush makes a speech. It's good for my health.
Yes that is true. But you have to ask yourself WHY???
And you have to look at where Bush got his votes from. Overwhelminly cities and urban areas voted for Kerry. Even in the red states. Check it out--it's true. So, in short, people in rural areas elected a "hick that don't use propper grammer--like us." Of course this is a huge generalization, and I do realize that not all Bush supporters are inbred hicks--but, look at the map.
Also, in several swing states (See OHIO) there were measures on the ballot to ban gay marriage. Thus, the fear of difference strikes again and there was overwhelming turnout among people afraid that gay people are threatening the sanctity of marriage. Hmmm.
It's good to know that the fear of gay people trumps issues like rising education costs, rising healthcare costs, and the general welfare of the middle class American. I'm glad to know that people in this country would rather withhold rights from a significant class of people than fix more important issues facing us. A majority of people say the war in Iraq was a mistake, a majority of people think this country is headed in the wrong direction...yet we still vote for Bush because "of his values," and because we're afraid of gay people.
Are people in this country really this afraid?
And it is absolutely baffling to me that we would elect this man for another term because he claims that he'll keep us safe...when actually he's the one that pisses off the terrorists the most.
You heard it--change your policy or get attacked again. We all know Bushy boy won't change his policy--he's supposed to be "Steadfast," and we're all supposed to "Stay the course" because "freedom is on the march!" Nevermind that we're pissing off the rest of the world. Nevermind that you can't just install democracy and "freedom" everywhere then expect that people will abandon all their own religious beliefs and follow you without question.
I just think we deserve better.
